Shahid Afridi, who is the former Pakistanicricketer and former captain of the Pakistan national cricket team. Shahid Afridi is known for his all-rounding performance. Shahid Afridi best batting performance always highlighted his career. Afridi was respected for his consistent bowling that relies on the change of pace rather than spin but drew greater attention for his aggressive batting style.

Shahid Afridi was the world record holder for the fastest ODI century in 37 deliveries and holds the distinction of having hit the most number of sixes in the history of ODI cricket.

Afridi considers himself a better bowler than batsman and has taken 48 Test wickets and 398 in ODIs. Currently, Afridi is leading the chart of most T20I wickets with 98 wickets from 97 matches. He also holds a record of taking most wickets (97) and most player-of-the-match awards in Twenty20 International cricket. Shahid Afridi scored 8064 runs with the highest score of 124 runs with an impressive strike rate of 117. Shahid Afridi also scores 351 sixes in one-day internationals.

Afridi was the President of PSL team Peshawar Zalmi which is owned by his cousin Javed Afridi.

Afridi is a philanthropist and owner of the Shahid Afridi Foundation. In 2015, Afridi was named among the top 20 most charitable athletes in the world by Do Something. On 19 February 2017, Afridi announced his retirement from international cricket.
